Adobe spark - Create graphics, videos and web stories

Adobe is famous for its Creative suite software that includes Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Indesign. However with growing competition from browser based image editing and creation packages such Pixlr and Canva, Adobe have decided to launch its own alternative, Which comes in the form of Adobe Spark.

Available as an app for Apple devices or accessible via the browser Adobe spark enables you to create a Spark post, edit a Spark video or create a Spark web page. You can sign in via you Adobe ID, or with your Google or Facebook account. Having logged in click on the + sign and you can choose to create a post, page or video.

Here is my video walk through to using it.

If you choose post you can create image based post for either Instagram, Facebook or Twitter or you click more and choose from a greater range of templates. You can then amend the text quoted, change its colour and font style, change the colour theme of the background elements and any image used. Once finished you can share or download it and post it to one of your social media accounts.

Page function lets you create slick presentations in a similar manner to that you can using MS Sway. You can insert the following elements: photos, text, buttons, Videos and photos can be arranged in a grid format or as a glideshow. As with posts you can alter the colour of the background and font, and switch between differing layouts.

Important note: I have been made aware that there are some issues with this software, a bug which causes work to be lost, Here's a user forum about the bug: Click here to view
