What is it

One of the biggest reasons teachers don't make full use of technology in classroom is a fear of it not working. The other reason is that it is to complex for them or their learners to use. The best technology in my opinion should be intuitive to use. That is where site such as Padlet come in, it has to be one of the simplest to set up and use. It is a simple way of introducing learning technology into your classroom. It allows you to create an online wall.

How to use it

Having logged in, click to create a wall, Title the wall and provide a description, add a background image and a thumbnail, then decide the appropriate privacy setting and one of two layout options.

Copy the link and it share with your learners. Learners can add a post by double clicking any where on the wall, they can choose to upload a file, add a link or add a photo. You can move there post arounds the wall and delete any inappropriate posts.

When to use it

I could see this being used in a variety of ways by both students and teachers including to share photos of the white board, check students understanding of a topic, as a exit ticket, a collaborative space to create a glossary of terms, for capturing student voice.
